Judging Criteria
OVERALL CONSTRUCTION
- Seams – visible, partial, none
- Fit
- Ejector Pins – visible/not visible
- Panel Lines / Rivets – re-scribed/re-constructed
- Tires – weighted appropriately
PRESENTATION
- Paint – orange peel, finish, airbrush vs. brush, authenticity/realism, validation of colour
- * If airbrush – spatter, overspray, feathered edges
- Painting or detailing improvements on snap kits such as Gun-Dam models must be recorded on the entrances form in order to be judged. Non painted models are not eligible to be judged
- Decals – clear coat, seal coat, silvering
- Weathering – tonal variation, oil stains, chips, panel lines, etc.
- Overall Authenticity / Realism
Model Show Rules
- All previous winning models are not eligible to win in the same or different category.
- Contestants can only win once in any category.
- Prizes have no redeemable cash value.
- The decision of the judges is final.
